American Heart Association Resuscitation Courses

The Training & Education of Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas is pleased to offer several AHA courses to the general public. A course manual is required for each class and may be purchased through the AHA link http://shopcpr.heart.org. A current ACLS or PALS Provider card is required to take the corresponding Renewal ACLS or PALS class. Completion of a pretest is also required for all ACLS and PALS courses.

Pre-registration is required by calling the Highpoint Health Training and Education Department at (615) 328-3831. Space is limited. AHA does not profit from course fees.

Cost: The fee schedule for courses offered is outlined below:

Family and Friends CPR: $50.00 - Recommended for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, 新父母, grandparents, 保姆, and others interested in learning how to save a life. An American 心 Association completion certificate is awarded upon completion of this course.
Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED: $70.00 - Recommended for people with little or no medical training that need a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR, AED: $70.00 - Recommended for people who are not healthcare professionals but are involved in childcare and have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries until professional help arrives. Includes childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc. Upon completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers: $50 – In-facility hospital providers, prehospital providers such as EMT’s, paramedics, fire fighters. Upon completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Renewal): $100 – Healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Renewal): $100 – Healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving infants and children.
